THE 12 SOUTH CARRIAGE HOUSE

DURING YOUR STAY

INFO, RULES & CHECKOUT GUIDELINES

IMPORTANT INFO

  • SAFETY - The Carriage House is equipped with two smoke detectors in the ceilings and a carbon monoxide detector plugged in next to the couch in the living room.  In the event that an emergency should arise during your stay we have provided the following items, all located in the laundry closet above the dryer:
    • fire extinguisher
    • first aid kit (in a red case)
    • laminated safety card with emergency numbers and instructions.
    • a Safety and emergency info page in the guest info book on the kitchen island with more information on local medical clinics, etc.
  • YOUTUBE TV - a channel guide is provided in the back of the binder on the kitchen island for your convenience, as well as on the back of the laminated "Roku & YouTubeTV Instruction Guide" on the entertainment center.  YouTubeTV service offers live TV programming comparable to Cable TV, and provides all the local and national channels you'll want during your stay!  For the most up-to-date YouTubeTV channel offerings, click HERE!
  • ROKU STREAMING SERVICES & SOUND BAR - Our TV is equipped with a Roku device to access all your onscreen entertainment including YouTubeTV and streaming service aps.  Complimentary access to HBO Now, Disney+, The Roku Channel and PBS Kids is provided for your enjoyment.  You are welcome to log-in to your personal accounts for other streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime...just don’t forget to log out when you leave. For complete instructions on how to use the Roku TV & sound bar, turn to the last pages of the guest welcome book located on the kitchen island.
  • LAUNDRY - feel free to use the washer and dryer as needed during your stay. We have provided detergent, fabric softener, bleach and dryer sheets for your use. Let us know if you have questions or need assistance with the machines.  Should you need dry-cleaning during your stay, we highly recommend Village Cleaners (2010 Acklen Ave, Nashville, TN 37212 -(615) 383-4264 - M-F 7am-6pm, Sat 8am-4pm, Sun closed)
  • HOUSEKEEPING - Daily housekeeping is not provided during your stay. Should you happen to need more of something during a longer stay, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to provide it.
  • TRASH - Should you need to empty the trash cans during your stay, there is a large brown trash container at the edge of our driveway just to the left of the parking pad. Please place trash in the brown bin only (green bin is recycling….Nashville does not accept glass in their pickup recycling service.)
  • KITCHEN SUPPLIES - We have provided many kitchen items in the hopes of accommodating any meals that you might want to prepare during your stay. If there are any utensils or items that you might need that are not already provided please don’t hesitate to ask if we have them in the main house. We would be happy to bring them over if we have what you need.
  • WINDOW SHADES - Our window shades can be pulled down from the top, or up from the bottom. The shade in the bedroom is a black-out shade. If you prefer less light in the morning, we recommend closing the kitchen and living room shades as well as the bathroom door before going to bed.
  • CHICKENS - we have a small backyard flock of hens that we keep for fresh eggs (and amusement). We appreciate your care to not let the chickens get out the gate in the event they are free-ranging during your stay. (And yes, they all have names! Beverly-Clucky, Rosa, Harriett, Clara, Amelia, & Marie)

HOUSE RULES

TRAVELING w/ LITTLE ONES

We know that traveling with little ones can be hectic so we hope to simplify your trip as much as possible.  If you're bringing an infant or toddler with you we've got some gear to help you out.  Just choose what you'll need during your stay from the list below and we'll have it ready and waiting when you arrive!

  • BABY GATE - We have a permanently installed retractable baby gate (Retract A Gate) at the top of the Carriage House stairs to help keep little ones safely away from the entry stairs.  To use the gate, simply pull the retractable gate across the stairwell and hook it in place on the permanently installed bracket hooks on the half wall, and then push and turn the circular button lock to lock the gate in place.  PLEASE take care to lock the gate in place as the lock button is essential to the function of the gate.
  • PACK - N - PLAY - We keep the pack-n-play stored in the closet at the top of the stairs at all times, as well as a clean waterproof mattress pad and sheet (Stored in a tupperware bin in the laundry closet.)  You're welcome to use it at anytime, but if you let us know, we'll be happy to set it all up for you before your arrival, including an extra crib mattress to keep your little one comfy.
  • STROLLER
  • HIGHCHAIR
  • KIDDO FRIENDLY DISHES & CUPS
  • ASSORTED BOOKS & TOYS

We have a little one ourselves so if you get here and realized you've left something behind, just let us know.  Chances are we have whatever you need!
